A single leaf leans

forward, out from the main branch –

it leans toward the sun. – RSM

A ladybug runs

around the tip of my cup,

changing its direction. – RSM

Brightness prevails on

the highway’s grand horizon.

all hues stripe the sky. – RSM

Fatigue is the weight

of heavy experience.

Rest. Lighten the load. – RSM

Consciousness surfing

is the way we all traverse

life’s chaotic waters. – RSM

I get just enough

sleep that ‘one more episode’

is barely worth it. – RSM

The body protests

the mind with fatigue; the mind

answers back with guilt. – RSM

Silence is the world

reminding us to listen

to our deepest thoughts. – RSM

Is it worth risking

it all, just to find out if

it will set you free?

Peeling back layers

of each other’s tough, hard skin-

sowing seeds of trust.

Slow, sweet songs, soulful.

Melancholy peace- they call

it rhythm and blues.

When I can’t think straight,

I wonder which chakra is

most heavily blocked.

Do your job, you’ll make

a living. Do what you love,

you’ll make a fortune.

Happiness is love.

Laughter is how the soul speaks.

Life shines within us.

Sleep is important.

But not so much as writing

this haiku, dammit.

My favorite way

to be is weird. Don’t waste time

being ‘normal’ and stuff.

After a long day,

how lovely it is, darling,

to come home to you.

Fire breathes with air,

wind carries flames across land,

and rain ends it all.

 

Haikus on nature

are so extremely cliche.

I really just can’t.

 

The universe has

karma. A boomerang, with

a sense of humor.
