‘Isn’t that all we need, some tall steel monuments with human honeycombs inside and a nice lil polluted patch/ocean of non-potable water?’
‘Yes,’ I answer myself, ‘but only if there’s a half-decent transit system, and the basketball team has to suck.’
‘DEAL!!’ I exclaimed, out loud. Everyone else in line at Staples looked very confused.
I put a lot more thought into so many more similarities before that next era in our lives, of the cities that I decided would be the past and future, of me.
But at the end of the day, all I need is a skyline and some water. That’s what makes me happy, location wise most def.
After doing extensive research on the world*, it looks like most fellow humans of mine would agree. Nature, nurture, whatever it may be, cities are the place to be in the 21st century, people want all the urban, without the decay, and rural farms and towns are seen as out of date.
You may not relate, and if you’re not alone, but name a city that’s landlocked, no river, pond, ocean, bay, no lake to blame bad weather on, and for each one I’ll show you a hundred more that are. Or like, seven. Whatever. I’m sure you get it by now.
Just gimme a skyline and some water, and a black coffee to go. No sugar.-RSM
