Loading Bar Days

Existential delays, life’s routine malaise, a repetitive display as progress strays,
the way some say “Rome wasn’t built in a day”
is the way I’ve come to think of these ‘loading bar days.’

They’re the dates on the calendar you don’t quite remember,
with a trivial holiday attached, if ever;
they’re the days that roll by like nearly identical waves on the beach,
as we countdown each loading bar day until the dates we want are within our reach.

Appreciate them, nevertheless, for they hold most of your life;
the fresher pages in between the highlighted, frayed ones,
they contain the names of your friends, family, your ‘day ones,’
your life’s experiences run deep within these times.
Treating each loading bar day like a holiday in some way is a true life hack sublime. – RSM
